Three Fairfield County Residents Charged With DWI In State Police Stops

Several area motorists were among two dozen busted by New York State Police troopers in the Hudson Valley for alleged impaired driving.

Local residents facing charges include: 

Westchester County

  • On Saturday, Feb. 23 State Police troopers from Livingston arrested Michael S. Grant, 31, of Elmsford, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 9 in Cortlandt, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Feb. 23, State Police troopers from Cortlandt arrested Antonio S. Vida, 60, of Yorktown, for DWI. He was traveling on Gallows Hill Road in Cortlandt, when he was found disabled in the wrong lane of travel. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Feb. 23, State Police troopers from Poughkeepsie arrested Mariano Torres, 53, of Yonkers, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 55 in Poughkeepsie, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and  was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, Feb. 24, State Police troopers from Somers arrested Andrew Tancredi, 66, of Yorktown, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 6 in Yorktown, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.

Dutchess County

  • On Saturday, Feb. 23, State Police troopers from Dover Plains arrested Raul P. Mendieta Mendieta, 43, of Pawling, for DWI. He was traveling on East Main Street in Pawling, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Feb. 23, State Police troopers from Wappinger arrested Christen L. Wilson, 32, of Hopewell Junction, for DWI. She was traveling on State Route 9 in Fishkill, when she was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that she was impaired by alcohol, and she was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Feb. 23,, State Police troopers from Dover Plains arrested Jorge B. Merchan, 63, of Pawling, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 22 in Pawling, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, Feb. 24, State Police troopers from Rhinebeck arrested Jacob T. Euell, 23, of Rhinebeck, for Aggravated DWI. He was traveling on Orchard Road in Rhinebeck, when he was involved in a two-car motor vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, Feb. 24, State Police troopers from Rhinebeck arrested Gina Walker, 61, of Rhinebeck, for DWI. She was traveling on State Route 308 in Rhinebeck, when she was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that she was impaired by alcohol, and she was subsequently arrested.
  • On Monday, Feb. 25, State Police troopers from East Fishkill arrested David J. Baltazar, 25, of Wappinger, for DWI. He was traveling on I-84 in Beacon, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.

Putnam County

  • On Saturday, Feb. 23, State Police troopers from Somers arrested Maxwell C. Reiser, 26, of Carmel, for Aggravated DWI. He was found in a parking lot on State Route 6 in Carmel sleeping behind the wheel. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.
  • On Feb. 24, State Police troopers from Brewster arrested Wayne Resino, 38, of Carmel, for DWI with a prior conviction, a felony. He was traveling on State Route 312 in  Southeast, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.

Fairfield County

  • On Friday, Feb. 22, State Police troopers from Stormville arrested William R. Shatford, 41, of Stamford, for DWI. He was traveling on the Taconic State Parkway in East Fishkill, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, Feb. 24, State Police troopers from East Fishkill arrested Manuel E. Pillacela Pucha, 25, of Danbury, for DWI. He was traveling on Interstate 84 in Southeast, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, Feb. 24, State Police troopers from Brewster arrested Wilmer E. Ramos Perez, 26, of Danbury, for DWI. He was traveling on Interstate 684 in Southeast, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.
